About
Through painting and drawing, I utilise a process-based approach to explore how meaning arises from the interplay between intention, unpredictability, and imagination. My practice centres around bridging internal and external worlds, investigating how we cultivate meaning at their intersection.
Each piece is guided in part by the innate agency of materials, creating a feedback loop where I simultaneously shape and respond to emerging forms. This creative dialogue between artist, material and surface is at the heart of my work. The resulting pieces exist in a state of ambiguity, reminiscent of cloud formations — suggestive of figures and faces, environments and places, yet never fully defined. My aim is to highlight the primacy of our own subjective experience in how we attempt to make sense of what we encounter through our imaginative capacities.
